As a IHG shareholder am I entitled to discounts at IHG hotels?
IHG offers discounted hotel stays (subject to availability) for ordinary shareholders who hold their shares in certified form, in their sole name, with the Companies Registrar. The IHG Shareholder Discount (the 'Discount') is available through a dedicated, controlled access website, details of which are provided in Company mailings direct to Shareholders, usually along with their Dividend Confirmation Statements.
We also have a loyalty programme which is open to everyone. This is a rewards points scheme which is open to all guests at hotels within our Group. For further details, please see the IHG One Rewards section of the website.

Can shareholders protect themselves from the risk of fraud?
Many companies have become aware that their shareholders have received unsolicited phone calls or correspondence concerning investment matters. These are typically from overseas based ‘brokers’, who target UK shareholders, offering to sell them what often turn out to be worthless or high risk shares in US or UK investments. These operations are commonly known as ‘boiler rooms’.

Is this a good time to buy/sell IHG shares?

How do I transfer IHG shares into another person’s name?
You will need to obtain a stock transfer form from our registrar, and return this together with your share certificate(s) to arrange the transfer of ownership.
Note: Where the transfer is for a cash consideration, you will need to send the stock transfer form to your local HM Revenue & Customs office for stamping. For further information, please contact your local HM Revenue & Customs office.
Does IHG offer an Individual Savings Account (ISA)?
The Company's registrar offers ISAs in InterContinental Hotels Group PLC ordinary shares. Please contact the registrar for more information.
Who should I direct questions about tax on my shares and/or dividends to?

I bought shares in Six Continents PLC or InterContinental Hotels Group PLC several years ago, but cannot remember what price I paid for them. I now need this information to complete my tax return. Where can I get hold of the original share price?
If your stockbroker or share dealer who helped you purchase your shares does not have this information, the London Stock Exchange can provide past share prices. For details please visit their website. There will be a charge for this service.

InterContinental Hotels Group PLC encourages all shareholders to register for this easy internet service, Shareview, provided by Equiniti, the Company's registrar.
How do I register?
Visit www.shareview.co.uk and register using your shareholder reference number (which can be found on your form of proxy, share certificate or tax voucher).
When you register, you will receive a User ID that you can use to log in to Shareview to check your share balance or amend your registered details.
Who will use my email address?
Your email address will only be used by InterContinental Hotels Group PLC and Equiniti to provide shareholder communications.
Why do I have to give you my shareholder details?
We need you to confirm your identity for security purposes.
Can I change my mind?
Yes, you can stop receiving information by email by returning to Shareview and changing your election. Or alternatively you can write to:

How do I change my email address later if I need to?
Visit www.shareview.co.uk and log in using your User ID and then select "Change Preferences" from the left hand menu
What happens if the registrar cannot contact me via email?
If there is a delivery failure there will be two more attempts to contact you by email. If these attempts fail then the registrar will contact you at your last known postal address to let you know that the emails have failed. You will be asked to confirm your contact details.
Please remember that if you change your email address you must tell the registrar.
